Chapter 478, titled Luffy vs. Luffy, sees the crew nearly wiped out before a transformed Nightmare Luffy storms back, shrugging off Oars' rubber attacks and sending the giant flying with a single punch.
Moria gloats that five of the crew are down and only three remain. As Nami and Usopp panic, Zoro tells Usopp to cover him and strikes Oars' right arm with Yasha Garasu, but the giant hurls him into a building, leaving just two standing. Usopp then fires salt into Oars' mouth, explaining to a baffled Nami that salt is a zombie's chief weakness. Luffy's shadow starts emerging, only for Moria to use his own shadow to pluck the salt out and fling it back. Out of ideas, the pair brace as Oars moves to stamp them flat.
A figure on Oars' side asks what he thinks he is crushing: it is Luffy, returned in a bulkier, more menacing Nightmare form, having saved Nami and Usopp. Warned that Oars copies all his moves and can stretch, Luffy shrugs it off. When Oars launches a Gomu Gomu no Rifle, Luffy catches it bare handed, declaring there is only one Monkey D. Luffy before punching the giant away. The zombies mistake the airborne Oars for a cloud, then flee as Luffy proceeds to batter him around to everyone's disbelief.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
