Titled "Shadow's Asgard," this chapter brings Oars down for good only for Moria to rise unexpectedly, swallowing a thousand stolen shadows into himself as dawn threatens to turn every shadowless body on the island to ash.
The zombies and Rolling Pirates announce that Oars has fallen at last, and the exhausted Straw Hats slump to rest. Usopp realizes too soon that the danger has not passed, shouting for Luffy to reclaim everyone's shadows before sunrise. Lola proposes beating Moria conscious and forcing him to surrender them, but the Warlord wakes on his own, sneering at Luffy for the ruin brought down on his Thriller Bark and warning that this crew is far from ready for the New World.
Declaring that he lost his living comrades long ago and that zombies never die, Moria unleashes Shadow's Asgard, drawing a thousand shadows from across the island into his own frame. He notes that Luffy used only a hundred to become Nightmare Luffy, then drives a fist into the ground hard enough to split it open. As the rising sun begins erasing an exposed pirate, the others flee for cover, yet Lola refuses to run, insisting the Rolling Pirates stand with the Straw Hats they dragged into this. Zoro and Robin observe that Moria has traded reason for raw power out of wounded pride, while Luffy switches on Gear 2 for the final clash.
Moria's revival proves the battle was not over, and his thousand-shadow absorption swells him to many times his former size and strength. Lola and several Rolling Pirates begin burning away in the morning light without their shadows yet choose to hold their ground. The chapter's cover later became the front of the second One Piece Doors! collection.
