Sabaody Park

Shakuyaku waves the crew off as they leave in search of someone to coat their ship. The bounty hunters Minoruba and Kairiken talk over the mermaid seen beside Luffy, and Peterman, who heads the Hound Pets kidnapping ring, pledges them a tenth of Camie's eventual sale price for the lead. Luffy and the rest reach Sabaody Park and throw themselves into the rides. The scene then turns to Grove 24, where the Celestial Dragon Saint Charlos appears, kills a badly wounded bystander, and resolves to make an engaged nurse named Marie his sixth wife by gunning down her fiance. Possibly lost and unaware of the peril, Zoro wanders toward Charlos and provokes the Noble's anger.

Charlos shoots at Zoro, who dodges before the round can strike, then prepares to retaliate. Jewelry Bonney barrels into him and stages his death with her Devil Fruit power and a splash of tomato juice, fully aware that wounding a World Noble would call an admiral straight to the island. Once Bonney spells out the danger, Zoro carries the injured man toward a hospital, startling the nearby Supernovas, with Scratchmen Apoo noting the fierce killing intent Zoro had radiated only moments earlier. Back at the Sunny, Sanji, Usopp, and Franky take a Den Den Mushi call warning that Camie has been abducted, and Sanji resolves to summon the Flying Fish Riders for assistance.

On the cover, the CP9's Independent Report carries on, with Fukurou steadying Kaku, shifted into Beast Form, so the children of St. Poplar can ride him like a giraffe-shaped slide. Saint Charlos, a Celestial Dragon, is introduced. Bonney shows off her power to alter her own age, shrinking from a grown woman into a little girl. Camie falls into the hands of the slave trader Peterman, and Sanji turns to the Rosy Life Riders, reasoning their experience in kidnapping and slave trading makes them the right ones to track her down.
