Another Incident to Be Told

While Vice Admiral Onigumo conveys Ace toward Marineford, he is told that an uprising led by Luffy is tearing through the great prison. At the same time, headquarters reels from a panicked report to Fleet Admiral Sengoku: Blackbeard has slipped out of sight despite Whitebeard's imminent assault, and an unsanctioned Marine ship has docked at the jail. Blackbeard and his men reach that prison and quickly cut down a knot of jailers while feigning friendship, prompting an alarm about the betrayal as the crew presses inward.

Buckling under the twin riots, a frantic Hannyabal floats the idea of running, but Magellan calls to say the Level 2 revolt has been shut down by sealing its passages and orders him to hold the fourth floor until backup comes. Down on the bottom tier, Shiryu is let out of confinement to lend a hand; Magellan warns there is no third chance and points him toward Blackbeard, and the instant the line goes dead, Shiryu butchers a row of guards with his reclaimed sword, murmuring apologies as he strikes. Above, Luffy's group carves forward and springs inmates as it advances. Ivankov repels Saldeath's Blue Gorillas, and when Sadi and a trio of Jailer Beasts choke the route, Luffy, Crocodile, and Jinbe each fell one of the monsters.

Blackbeard's crew breaches the gates of the great prison. The disgraced Shiryu is freed from confinement and turned loose to hunt the intruders.

The Japanese title points to yet another epic incident still to come. An art slip shows Blackbeard with a complete set of teeth in one panel just after he ejects a staff member. The Straw Hats and Animals cover depicts Karoo taking a dog for a walk. Events fall within the Impel Down storyline.
