Summary

Shirahoshi explains the silence she kept for a decade. On her deathbed Otohime made her promise never to carry hatred toward anyone, and it was Megalo, who witnessed the shooting, who later told her the killer's name. Jinbe praises her gentleness, while Hody sneers that such mercy is plain stupidity, claiming her quiet handed him victory. He then batters the king and princes unconscious with a flurry of Yabusame.

Among the crowd, children press Shyarly on when Luffy will wreck the island, and she admits her visions never carry dates. Some residents decide that ruin at Luffy's hands would at least take Hody down too, and they start calling out for the rampage to begin. As Hody reaches to claim Neptune's head, Megalo convulses and spits out a figure who blurs forward and slams a kick into Hody's chest. It is Luffy, hidden in the shark's mouth the entire time. Nami emerges from one of her illusions holding the Celestial Dragon letter, having passed Robin the keys to the royals' shackles. Franky blasts the pirate ranks with the Gaon Cannon while Hoe scoops up the wounded king and princes. With the crew finally gathered, the locals barrage Luffy with questions, and he tells them they can decide for themselves whether he is enemy or ally.

Key Events

The mystery of Shirahoshi's knowledge is resolved through Megalo, formerly a palace pet who saw the murder. Luffy reveals he had been concealed inside Megalo all along and lands the first blow on Hody. Nami demonstrates upgraded optical illusions, and the plan to free Neptune and the princes succeeds, with Hoe carrying them to safety. After three chapters away, the entire Straw Hat crew reunites in one place for the first time since entering the island, poised to fight alongside Jinbe.

Notes

The cover shows Dorry and Brogy still dueling after two years, now trading punches because their original weapons broke. The residents' shift from dreading Shyarly's prophecy to welcoming it underscores how desperate Hody's occupation has made them. The chapter closes on Luffy framing his allegiance as the people's choice rather than his declaration.
