Mars Leo

Mars Leo cuts an imposing figure, tall and heavily muscled. His face carries several scars along with distinct markings below the left eye. He rounds out the fighter's look with a necklace and a set of boxing gloves worn at all times.

Arrogance and volume go hand in hand for Mars Leo. Denied a leadership role among the Neo Heroes, he reacted not with acceptance but with belligerent protest, insisting the decision be reversed. He is prone to reckless outbursts of violence, swinging wildly at empty air to flaunt his power and accidentally clobbering Superalloy Darkshine in the process. His stated goal of beating a Neo leader purely to steal the position lays bare a selfish, grasping streak.

Presumed to carry the enhanced physique expected of a Neo leader candidate, Mars Leo showed genuine speed, quick enough to earn a nod of approval from Suiryu, a five time Super Fight champion. Even so, he came up badly short against real power, snapping his own wrist on Darkshine's stomach and failing to touch Suiryu at all.

His strength is considerable, with punches said to be capable of crushing a human skull and further magnified by the nine kilogram gloves he wears, though that force did nothing to Darkshine and rebounded to break his wrist. His speed impressed onlookers even when it landed no hits, and his endurance is high enough that he initially did not register the fracture and kept swinging through the pain afterward. He fights as a boxer, a champion of a brutal sport called Death Boxing in which competitors pack their gloves with iron sand, the loaded gloves being central to his style. After being marched off by Destro and Elimin, he later reappears wearing a Neo Heroes battle suit that sharply amplifies his physical output.

His moment in the story comes when he and Kokou storm into the Neo Heroes leadership meeting to complain about being passed over. Shadowboxing to prove himself, he drew a "not bad" from Suiryu before landing a useless blow on Darkshine and breaking his arm. Humiliated, he teamed with Kokou to attack Suiryu, only for Elimin and Destro to arrive and order the pair away, since brawling was forbidden.
