Mask stands with his brothers and Mumen Rider when they confront Garou, only for the Hero Hunter to lay the whole group out and leave them sprawled until dawn, after which they wake up in the hospital. During the Monster Association ordeal he waits at the hospital until Tanktop Girl guides the group to Tanktop Doctor, whose speech on the leader's message sends them off after their master. He digs survivors out of the rubble in Z-City and piles onto a battered Garou, a mob that Zombieman and King eventually break up. He is also among the many heroes at A-City headquarters when Tatsumaki clashes with Apollo below ground, rushing to the lower levels once the alarm sounds to look into the disturbance. His no-show at a later tanktop meeting hints that he has quit as a hero. When the enormous machine drops onto headquarters, he joins the failed effort against its drones and stands down after Metal Knight's purpose becomes known. His combat, like the rest, is unarmed and close in.
