Summary

Glasses is a B-Class professional who has lately signed on with the Blizzard Group. While on patrol he catches Sweet Mask's televised interview on a giant city screen, where the idol lays out his views on heroism and plugs a new film. Eyelashes warns him to keep his eyes on their quarry, the red-hooded arsonist Banero, a C-Class criminal worth a fair haul of points. Glasses feels torn, since a rare vegetable sale is happening the same day, and he drifts back to memories of his grinding office job and the Hero Association ad that first caught his eye on a train.

The team boxes Banero in and demands surrender. He sneers at their matching black suits, and Eyelashes explains it is the group's color. After the arsonist is put down, the members squabble over splitting the credit, with Eyelashes insisting the underperforming Glasses deserves less than an equal cut.

Key Events

The Blizzard Group next runs up against a Mysterious Being called Demonic Fan, whose gales overwhelm them. Fubuki strides in confidently and tells her people to head home and leave the rest to her, but her Hell Storm fails and the whole team is flattened, leaving Glasses the last one on his feet. Tatsumaki then arrives, blasting the wall and knocking him aside. She dismisses him as merely one of her sister's underlings, shredding what remains of his confidence, before casually swatting down the monster's attacks, tearing it apart, and floating off with Fubuki in tow.

Alone and bitter, Glasses rails against a society he calls unfair, convinced that no amount of training can matter without special powers. Saitama then wanders in chasing a monster report. Mistaking him for an unknown C-Class rookie, Glasses tells him he is too late, but Saitama notes the creature is still twitching back together and destroys it with a single punch, irritated only by the cold wind.
