Chapter 134 (Online): Twist

The struggle against the rebuilt fusion of Psykos and Orochi grinds on. Genos concentrates on batting away the beams pouring from Orochi's dragon heads while Psykos hurls a massive blast at Tatsumaki. He plants himself in the line of fire and answers with a beam of his own, urging Tatsumaki to hurry and pull the trapped heroes out of the Monster Association Headquarters while he absorbs the attack. She manages to extract several of them, but a further clash leaves Genos immobile and out of the fight.

When Psykos looses another beam meant to finish them both, Tatsumaki shields the crippled Genos, turns the blow aside, and rattles her foe by bringing up her sister Fubuki. Below, Fubuki watches with Bang and Bomb as her sister channels overwhelming psychic force, sensing that Tatsumaki means to end things. Moments later Psykos, still stunned by that power, finds herself and the entire base seized in the esper's grip.

In the second half Tatsumaki begins coughing up blood, unsure whether she has pushed herself too far, and Psykos seizes the dip in her strength to flee behind a smokescreen. The fusion reshapes into a jet bent on draining the city's people of blood, but Tatsumaki, sensing it split into seven decoys using her own trick, throws up a colossal barrier to seal it in. Psykos fires a laser at what she thinks is the distracted esper's heart, only to strike a dummy and expose her real position, at which point Drive Knight arrives and enters the fray. Underground rescues continue as Pig God regurgitates Narinki's Private Squad, Zombieman, and Iaian onto the surface, to Child Emperor's amazement.

Genos briefs the recovering S-Class heroes on the ground, warning that Tatsumaki is close to her limit before rejoining the sky battle. Tanktop Master, meanwhile, frees civilians from debris and, recognizing Tatsumaki's invisible barrier when it stops a medical helicopter, resolves to help her; he hurls a transmission tower and rides its wire toward the headquarters while Mumen Rider stays behind for rescue work. The chapter was released in two parts under the Viz title The Wringer, collected in Volume 28, with Saitama, Tatsumaki, King, Genos, and Fubuki on the cover.
