Summary

The twin emergence of Sage Centipede and Evil Ocean Water sends Sekingar, Needle Star, and Mizuki scrambling to put as much distance as possible between themselves and the pair of colossal threats. Garou, meanwhile, has been landing effective combinations on Sage Centipede, bruising and briefly staggering the creature.

Key Events

Catching sight of a distant helicopter, Garou recognizes Tareo inside and taunts the monster to pull its focus. Sage Centipede grasps that the aircraft matters to him and warns that any movement will see Evil Ocean Water blast it down with its Great Oceanic Cannon. It then hammers Garou with the Centipede Grand March while the water entity backs the assault with a punishing cannon blast, and the badly wounded Hero Hunter is sent flying as the creature laughs.

A blur streaks toward the sea trailing enormous shockwaves. It is Saitama, who leaps at Evil Ocean Water and unleashes a Serious Punch, erasing the water monster and cleaving the ocean apart. With no firm ground to grip, he cannot lift the newly exposed carrier Gotz Okkie, so he rides its deck like a surfboard to outrun the resulting tsunami.

Believing the water threat gone, Sage Centipede chases the helicopter carrying Tareo and Waganma. Garou pursues, and Metal Bat suddenly springs onto the monster only to be flicked aside. The two former rivals collide and are startled to meet again. When a reporters' helicopter drifts overhead and the irritated monster lashes at it with an antenna, Metal Bat blocks the strike while Garou boards the aircraft and scares its crew into fleeing.

Standing together, Metal Bat notes that Garou both attacked the monster and helped the helicopter escape, seeming far more level-headed than in his human days. Garou claims he only means to prove his terror to the world and that they must stall to protect the rescue chopper behind them. His suggestion that Metal Bat serve as bait sparks a short argument before the two finally agree to fight side by side. Watching the broadcast from the Hero Association Hospital, Suiko doubts the reporters can escape a monster that leaps into helicopters, while Suiryu observes that the chopper is still intact and guesses Garou means the passengers no harm.
