A public briefing is underway inside, promoting apartment towers built to withstand monster raids and reserved for A-Class heroes and above, who serve as resident protectors. Onlookers grumble that heroes are only human and can still be wounded, so the speaker redirects attention to the buildings' concealed defensive weapon.

Engineered by Metal Knight and run by an AI that supposedly beats every A-Class hero combined, the system springs to life as alarms sound. At an entrance, Saitama and his monster companions trigger a first-tier countermeasure, and a hulking robot emerges to destroy them. Saitama flattens it, so the base escalates with far tougher machines, each of which he casually slaps into scrap. Heroes storm out, and one laments that every ruined robot carried a nine-billion-yen price tag.

Panicking over the cost, Saitama feebly insists the machines just exploded by themselves. The doubting officials demand answers until King arrives and defends him. Saitama returns King's now-broken handheld console, and King leaves unbothered. Concealed under Rover, Black Sperm reels at King's presence and realizes he has wandered into Hero Association Headquarters, while Forte puzzles over King befriending an apparent nobody. The installment ends by disclosing that Saitama now holds A-Class Rank 39.

Running as the one hundred seventy-seventh chapter within the Psychic Sisters Arc, this Volume 35 entry is titled New Crib by Viz and adapts webcomic chapter 96.
