The fight between Saitama and Tatsumaki grows fierce enough to draw the curiosity of the recovering Forte and Air. Saitama drops down near Forte's room, and seeing him bewildered, checks on his injuries and tells him to stay in bed before rejoining the battle. Taking in the scale of the wreckage, Forte decides to put off any rematch. Outside, the Blizzard Group arrives and is stunned by the devastation. Though Tatsumaki had been enjoying the clash, she now wants to end it fast, having misjudged the limits of her own output. She warps a huge stretch of ground into an earthen wave and tries to bury Saitama under it, but he walks away untouched. Noticing how worn out she is, he urges her to stop pushing herself. Tatsumaki keeps straining to fling him into space anyway until exhaustion finally overtakes her and she blacks out.

In her dream, Tatsumaki relives being rescued by Blast eighteen years earlier and then reuniting with Fubuki to guard her. Hunted by four Tsukuyomi members, she apparently killed them before turning to her sister. Witnessing that brutality shocked the five-year-old Fubuki into awakening her own psychic power, which threw Tatsumaki back. The dream carries on with Tatsumaki chasing an image of Blast, revealing how much she pins on him as the only adult who ever set her free. She believes that if she grows strong enough, Blast will respect her and steer her toward a better life, and she seeks his guidance within the dream. She wakes questioning the road she has taken.

Saitama praises Tatsumaki's talent and pats her head, remarking that she could be a great hero if she could cut loose without harming everything around her. As he starts to leave, Fubuki appears and tells Tatsumaki she has split from her group. The Blizzard Group then arrives too, begging to remain and vowing to grow stronger. Before Tatsumaki can lash out, Fubuki takes charge and disciplines several members herself, declaring that anyone unable to endure her power is unworthy of standing before her sister. As the group endures her assault to prove themselves, Saitama persuades Tatsumaki to let them stay. She relents and readies to leave with Fubuki, telling Saitama she means to test him again another day, an offer he refuses, to her annoyance.

Saitama checks on the injured Forte, who postpones their rematch. Tatsumaki fails to bury Saitama under an earth tsunami and collapses from exhaustion after trying to launch him into space. In her dream she recalls Blast rescuing her, Fubuki's psychic awakening, and her deep hopes pinned on Blast. Saitama pats her head and calls her potential great. Fubuki disciplines the Blizzard Group to prove their worth, Saitama convinces Tatsumaki to let them stay, and Tatsumaki's request to test him again is declined.
