Chapter 186: Scalp Friction

Sweet Mask spots Saitama being hurled through one building after another. Realizing how far the fight has drifted from where it started, Saitama proposes that he and Tatsumaki make their way back. She pretends to cooperate, then grabs hold of him and hauls him toward the Hero Association headquarters by plowing his skull along the ground the whole way.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic races in behind them and lets loose four homing shuriken rigged to explode. Tatsumaki casually flicks them back at the ninja, and while he scrambles to dodge his own weapons he overlooks a dog relieving itself in his path. Sonic skids on the mess, loses his footing, and curses Saitama just as his returning shuriken catch up with him.

Once they reach their starting point, Saitama shakes free and invites Tatsumaki to keep wrecking the area. Irked that he seems to look down on her, she insists the whole clash has been a test and warns that he would not last against her at full power. Rather than flinch, Saitama urges her to try, which catches her off guard.

Within the headquarters, a wave of disgruntled Blizzard Group members storm out after Fubuki announces she is dissolving the team, though Eyelashes rallies the handful who stay loyal and sets off to find her. Outside, Fubuki looks on as Tatsumaki's swelling power spins tornadoes that ravage the terrain. King, cowering at the door of Saitama's apartment amid the catastrophe, is brushed off when Saitama turns up and says he is too tied up with Tatsumaki to hang out, and King catches an accidental eyeful of the esper as she resumes her assault.

Given the title Scalp Friction, or Tōhi to Masatsu, the chapter belongs to the Psychic Sisters Arc and puts Speed-o'-Sound Sonic on its cover. VIZ Media keeps the name Scalp Friction, and it adapts webcomic chapter 104. It appears in volume 36 between In the Middle of Something and Unascertained. Its bonus page presents a portrait of King wrapped in a menacing aura as his King Engine rumbles.
