Chapter 185: In the Middle of Something

The marathon fight between Saitama and Tatsumaki wears on, and Saitama's enthusiasm for it is draining away. One of her psychic surges tears the jacket right off his back, and a barrage of follow-up blasts flings him across enormous distances. Back at the Hero Association headquarters, Fubuki severs her connection to the Blizzard Group and walks off, finally accepting that her sister truly meant to pry her loose from her followers.

In N-City, the A-class hero Feather takes a savage beating from the Iron Fist, the district's dominant gang, while trying to free a captive named Erika. The truth surfaces that Erika is romantically involved with the gang's boss, Big Iron, and helped bait Feather into an ambush. Sensing that she secretly longs to escape the gang's hold, Feather renews his resolve to rescue her, only for Saitama to come crashing through the wall on the back of one of Tatsumaki's strikes and knock Feather out cold. The stray collision leaves the gang beaten, and a starstruck Erika ends up idolizing Tatsumaki.

Meanwhile, the massive hedgehog-like beast Kenzan Rat tears through H-City, its threat rating raised from Demon to Dragon. Metal Bat races off to confront it, but the creature is crushed by the runaway destruction of the Saitama and Tatsumaki brawl before he can lift a finger. Worn out from the long sprint, he decides to calm down and simply head home.

Carrying the title In the Middle of Something, or Torikomi-chū, the chapter sits within the Psychic Sisters Arc with Metal Bat on its cover. VIZ Media publishes it as Busy, and it adapts webcomic chapters 103 and 104. Found in volume 36 between Witnesses and Scalp Friction, its bonus page shows Metal Bat gripping his trademark bat in a loose but ready pose.
