Kyōko Haida is a spiritually aware high schooler who transfers to Karakura High during the Tōjū Campaign. Lonely after a friendship shattered over her strange gift, she becomes the vessel for a stray Zanpakutō spirit, until Orihime Inoue reaches the girl trapped behind the possession.
Kyōko has dark brown eyes and short black hair whose bangs curl inward at the tips. She arrives still wearing the uniform of her former school, a short-sleeved white shirt under a pale blue vest with a dark blue skirt, and later changes into the Karakura High uniform.
At first she keeps to herself, quiet and solitary. She is capable all the same: athletic across a range of sports, academically sharp enough to guess what teachers will set on exams, and unusually perceptive, sensing that Orihime Inoue held special powers before ever seeing them used. Beneath that competence runs a deep loneliness. Cast aside by Mai Suzuki, the one person she had ever trusted as a true friend, Kyōko came to believe no one would accept her.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
Kyōko once attended a different school, where she and Mai Suzuki were close. Because she can see spirits, Pluses, and Shinigami, she hoped Mai would embrace her despite the oddness of it, but Mai grew wary after Kyōko correctly predicted a test question. When Kyōko tried to warn her about a boy known for using girls, Mai turned on her, branding her a freak and running off in tears. Crushed, Kyōko threw away the little pink bear phone charm she had meant to give her, and a voice answered her pain, urging her to pour out all her frustration. A Tōjū's Zanpakutō appeared, and as she reached for it, purple Reiatsu swallowed her.
Transferring into Karakura High, she is drawn to Orihime, who shares her ability to see the unseen. After Orihime shields them both with Santen Kesshun, Kyōko presses her to be friends on the grounds that they are both special, then threatens to expose Orihime's powers when she refuses. Orihime instead offers to set their gifts aside and simply be ordinary friends, words that leave Kyōko stunned as her Zanpakutō briefly manifests and she flees. The Tōjū spirit works on her doubts, insisting Orihime cannot truly understand her and that what she really wants is Mai's death, then takes possession of her body.
Wearing Kyōko, the spirit hunts Mai down, but the girl resists long enough for Mai to faint at the sight. Now certain no one will ever accept her, Kyōko lets the Tōjū take full control. Orihime arrives and pleads for her return; Ichigo and Rukia join in, with Rukia warning that if Kyōko is wholly lost they will have no choice but to kill her. Orihime calls out until Kyōko fights back, then uses Sōten Kisshun to draw the Tōjū out, and Ichigo destroys it with a Getsuga Tenshō. The following day, her memories of Mai erased at Rukia's hand, Kyōko walks home with Orihime, happy at last to have made a real friend.
