A warring robot faction from Transformers crosses into the Evangelion universe in the collaboration manga Transformers Mode "EVA", where the ghost of a slain officer merges with an Angel and forces the defenders of two worlds into an unlikely alliance.
The Decepticons are the antagonist faction of the Transformers franchise, brought into Evangelion continuity through the crossover story Transformers Mode "EVA". Galvatron commands the group, Starscream serves among its ranks, and the Autobots stand as their sworn enemies. The faction remains active throughout the crossover.
During the conflict remembered as the Unicron Wars, Galvatron destroys Starscream, whose spirit drifts through space until it takes hold of an Angel. That fusion produces the hybrid creature Angel-Scream. Once Optimus Prime brings the hybrid down, NERV and the Autobots merge their forces into Autobot-NERV, a joint organization built to oppose Decepticons and Angels alike.
