Mechanics

The printed version keeps things spare, with Rei simply raising a hand skyward and voicing the phrase without any device. Crystal expands it into a full sequence. The planet Mars materializes as she lifts her hand and her nails flash crimson, her redesigned Star Power Stick spinning into her grip. A red silhouette overtakes her body while a towering column of fire bursts from the wand, wrapping her in a swirling cocoon that erupts into dancing flames. As the fire clears she stands in her red uniform complete with heels, earrings, a front bow, a rear ribbon, trimmed gloves, and matching skirt, choker, and collar, finishing as her emblem and tiara form and she settles into her pose against a starlit sky.
