Angel or Devil? The Mysterious Girl from the Sky

A young girl with unusual pink hair tumbles out of the sky and instantly fixates on Usagi, insisting the teen hand over the Silver Crystal. The child plants herself inside the Tsukino household and refuses to abandon her hunt for the gem. At the same time, an unfamiliar force reaches Tokyo in pursuit of that very girl. When Koan of the newcomers makes her move, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask push her back.

This installment launches the Black Moon storyline and introduces a large slice of its cast. Chibiusa arrives for the first time, along with the villains Rubeus and Wiseman and the four Spectre Sisters, Koan, Berthier, Calaveras, and Petz. The floating companion Luna-P also debuts, as do the Dark Fire and Sailor Body Attack techniques. Brief glimpses of the Crystal Palace and Crystal Tokyo surface as visions of the future.

Several details shift from the manga: the group wears winter uniforms during the first meeting, the child's prop gun sprays flowers rather than a suction dart, and Luna keeps Usagi and Mamoru from being hypnotized when the family is brainwashed. The DiC broadcast trimmed the spanking and the toy-gun threat. That version also had the heroine shout Moon Star Power for a few episodes before reverting to Moon Crystal Power.
