Space Sword

Counted among the three Outer guardian talismans, this blade belongs to Sailor Uranus and lay sealed within her pure heart crystal before she claimed it. Its shape has shifted across adaptations. The earliest version is a thrusting, piercing weapon, while the anime and the tellings that followed reworked it into a curved, scimitar-style blade meant for slashing. The Cloverway dub simply labeled it a saber.

Uranus draws the sword to launch Space Sword Blaster, her strongest strike in the anime, and it also drives Space Turbulence. Its purpose changes with the continuity. In the anime, uniting it with the Deep Aqua Mirror and the Garnet Orb calls forth the Holy Grail, whereas in the manga and Crystal those same three talismans instead rouse Sailor Saturn from her slumber. The details of the blade differ too, from a red edge kept in a jeweled sheath and a golden hilt in the anime to a longer silver blade in the manga that can shrink down to the length of a dagger.

Sailor Uranus is the weapon's sole bearer. In the anime her blade flares from red to gold during the clash with Germatoid alongside Sailor Neptune, and in the SuperS film she slices Oranja's and Pupulan's flutes, turning the pair into a pink cuckoo and a blue hummingbird. In Crystal she first summons it against Viluy, whom Space Sword Blaster destroys, though while under Cyprine's control she misuses it to hurl a gust of wind at the Inner guardians. The Sera Myu musicals show the blade unsheathed and silver, and there Uranus swings at Galaxia to defend her star seed, only for the enemy to dodge.
