Standing well over two meters and packed with muscle, Hyo cuts an intimidating figure through his sharp, angular features, deep-set brown eyes, and stiff brown hair. His outfit pairs a tan shirt with a dark suit, and metal is everywhere on him: a plate fixed to his jaw, rows of earrings, a hoop set beside one eyelid, twin bike chains slung around his neck, and gold knuckledusters ringed in black across his fingers. His clash with Kumanomi costs him dearly, tearing away his right ear and eventually robbing him of sight in both eyes.

At first glance Hyo reads as a short-tempered braggart, forever snapping threats at Nagumo whenever the man grates on him, yet beneath that lies a soldier devoted to the Order's code who initially would not leak a word about the JAA's dealings with Slur. Written off in his youth by Yotsumura as talentless, he answered the insult with relentless work until he ranked among the elite, though he never shook the feeling that he did not truly belong beside the 'genius monsters' he served with. He fretted over things he felt an assassin should ignore, chiefly the urge to protect people, and that same conscience let him recognize his younger self in Heisuke. Loyalty never made him rigid: he handed Sakamoto the information he wanted once he grasped it was to keep a family safe. His courtesy ran deep, from scolding Osaragi into driving gently for an elderly passenger to apologizing to a doctor after wrecking a hospital, and in his final moments he threw himself between Kumanomi and Heisuke, a choice Sakamoto summed up by calling him a kind man. Even Nagumo, who never trusted him, fired rounds skyward in his memory.

Ranked among the deadliest killers in the JAA, Hyo stood apart from his fellow Order members by fighting with his fists rather than weapons. His speed let him blindside Sakamoto and whirl to kick Shin the instant he sensed him closing in. His raw power was staggering: he drove a punch that put Sakamoto straight through a wall, swung with an MRI unit weighing several tons attached to him, cracked through solid steel, pulverized a wooden pier with one blow, and finally smothered Kumanomi's electromagnetic barrage by simply destroying every metal object she flung his way. His endurance matched it, shrugging off hurled steel beams and cars, an activated MRI turning nearby metal into shrapnel, and losing his ear without so much as a flinch; only a nail-firing coil gun and a set of boat propellers inflicted serious harm, and even mortally wounded he briefly overpowered his opponent, his grip so unyielding that she severed her own arm to break loose. In hand he favored a matched pair of brass knuckles etched with a vine motif, while the nonmagnetic plate fixed to his jaw proved sturdy enough that Heisuke once bounced a rifle round off it.
