Summary

Making good on the deal they struck, Jinwoo and Jinho assemble a ragtag raid party that gives them legal cover to clear C-Rank dungeons. Their breakneck clearing speed does not go unnoticed, and a senior member of the White Tiger Guild named Ahn Sangmin starts watching them closely. On one of these runs, Jinwoo wipes out a pack of werewolves.

The arc also closes a door for Lee Joohee, who walks away from hunting for good. Sangmin deduces that Jinwoo must be a reawakened, while Jinwoo keeps refining his abilities, leveling up his Sprint skill and picking up two more abilities, Vital Strike together with Advanced Dagger Techniques, on his way to level 40.

Aftermath

When the arc ends, Jinwoo stands at level 40 with fresh combat skills in hand, and Lee Joohee's exit shuts one part of her arc. The prose version parts ways with the webtoon in a handful of small touches: from the Korean Hunters Association, Jinwoo is handed a fresh hunter phone, then brushes off texts coming in from the nurse Choi Yoora; the figure called Laura instead goes by Lola; zombies show up only in the novel; and Hyun Kichul treats him to a bottle of vegetable juice.
