Summary

Strolling through a quiet park, Jinwoo and Lee Joohee catch up after their last raid. The B-Rank healer admits her timidity no longer suits the hunter's life and chooses to retire, but she thanks Jinwoo for the determination she saw in him through all the wounds she mended. She returns the essence stone he once gave her, having never sold it, and leaves with a hopeful smile. Alone, Jinwoo recalls Woo Jinchul's warning that Hwang Dongsoo might seek revenge for his dead brother, and that the law cannot touch S-Ranks. He takes it as one more reason to grow stronger.

At a C-Rank gate, Jinwoo and Jinho assemble an odd strike team of sidelined hunters, among them Han Song-Yi, an awakened minor and secretly a friend of Jinwoo's sister. Jinwoo declares that the pair of them will go in alone, paying the others three million won simply to satisfy the eight-hunter minimum. After redeeming his new Stealth skill and forcing Jinho to ditch his flashy armor, the pair clear the gate in roughly an hour, stunning the team that expected a two-hour ordeal. They press on, aiming for three dungeons a day, with Jinho mining mana crystals while Jinwoo carves through goblins, snakes, scorpions, and werewolves. Reaching Level 40, he unlocks Dash improvements, Advanced Dagger Wielding, and Fatal Strike, judges himself somewhere between B and A-Rank against Woo Jinchul as a benchmark, and receives a System alert offering him the Job Change Quest.

At White Tiger Guild headquarters, news of Jinho's huge spending on C-Rank gate rights catches manager Ahn Sangmin's eye. Remembering Jinwoo from the double dungeon disaster and his string of narrow survivals, Ahn suspects a second awakening and goes to investigate in person. Finding the strike team lounging like picnickers, he deduces Jinwoo is soloing the dungeon and resolves to recruit him.

Key Events

Joohee retires from hunting and returns home. Jinwoo redeems the Stealth skill earned from defeating Kang Taeshik and begins clearing C-Rank gates solo while Jinho harvests resources, pushing Jinwoo to Level 40. Han Song-Yi joins the makeshift strike team. White Tiger's Ahn Sangmin sets his sights on recruiting Jinwoo, but Jinwoo outmaneuvers him.

Approached over coffee, Ahn offers double Yoojin Construction's terms, only to learn Jinwoo's contract is worth 30 billion won. When Jinwoo confronts him over the snooping, he vanishes via Stealth and leaves a cut on Ahn's cheek, the very trick that makes him so valuable. Ahn pivots to buying three gates for 600 million won, and Jinwoo heals the cut with a potion before leaving. The next day White Tiger realizes cheaper gates were available all along, and a text from Jinwoo frames the overpayment as payback for spying. Outmaneuvered but undeterred, Ahn at least walks away with Jinwoo's contact details, while Jinwoo drives off toward his job-change quest. A nightmare of the failed Jeju raid also torments Choi Jong-In, steeling him for an imminent return to the island.

Notes

This tenth episode covers webtoon chapters 34 through 37 within the Yoo Jinho Raid Party Arc. Yoshikazu Tominaga wrote it, with direction by Yuya Horiuchi and Takashi Sakuma at A-1 Pictures, airing in Japan on March 16th, 2024. The dungeon montage is scored by the insert track 4eVR, credited to SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] with Laco, Benjamin, and mpi, alongside the LEveL opening and krage's ending request.

In the adaptation Jinwoo wears a blue tracksuit rather than the manhwa's red. The recruitment beat is restructured so that Ahn shadows Jinwoo, fools the strike team, and approaches at day's end, whereas the manhwa has him reveal himself as a White Tiger representative on first contact. The Jeju nightmare seen through Choi Jong-In's eyes is original to the anime.
