Adam White

During the main story Adam carried himself as a youthful figure with sharp orange hair combed back and bright blue eyes. His wardrobe leaned corporate, a business coat in gray or blue layered over a crisp white shirt and a black tie. The revised timeline shows him much older, an elderly gentleman whose hair is kept tidily in place.

The job of recruiting for the United States suited his easy charm. Adam was warm, even-keeled, and persuasive, and he extended genuine support to those who earned his regard, Jinwoo chief among them. Grudges were not in his nature either. When Jinwoo throttled him with Ruler's Authority aboard their flight to America, Adam held no resentment over it once the misunderstanding cleared.

After Jinwoo single-handedly cleared the Jeju Island S-Rank Gate, Michael Connor assigned Adam to court him on America's behalf. The opening attempt collapsed when Norma Selner's abilities failed to take hold on Jinwoo. Later, learning that Sung Il-Hwan had become the prime suspect in Christopher Reed's killing, Adam secured a seat beside Jinwoo on the flight to the International Guild Conference and quietly warned him that a red notice for his father was being prepared. Jinwoo's fury nearly killed the messenger, but Adam's quick explanation calmed him, and the encounter confirmed for Adam that this hunter already stood among the National Level elite.

In the States, Adam pitched Jinwoo as a candidate to replace Christopher and offered Kamish's rune stone as bait, only for Jinwoo to brush it aside and ask to view the dragon's body instead. Adam relayed the odd request to David Brennon, watched in astonishment as Jinwoo raised Kamish as a shadow soldier, and soon found himself scrambling after Jinho went missing with the Scavenger Guild. He tracked Jinwoo down mid-beatdown against Thomas Andre and pleaded with him to stop, relieved when Thomas conceded and the fight ended. During the Final Battle, the Bureau sent Adam to watch the Canadian gate, where he spotted a red-haired figure emerge. That figure was Antares, the strongest Monarch. Jinwoo urged him to flee and tried to whisk him to China with Shadow Exchange, but Antares unleashed his breath at point-blank range and killed Adam outright.

When the Rulers used the Cup of Reincarnation a final time at Jinwoo's request, Adam returned to life with no memory of the original timeline. Decades on, after gates resurfaced and hunters rose again, he became director of the Federal Bureau of Hunters. In the Black Market Arc he reluctantly arrested Thomas Andre over Christopher's apparent murder, then learned Thomas was a pawn in a plot tied to the Apostles of the Itarim. The two quietly partnered to investigate the cult behind the scheme, with Adam using Thomas's trial as cover to round up priests of the Foreign Religion. He also tracked the so-called Vigilante and discovered it was Sung Suho cleansing the world of evildoers through his Shadows, later helping orchestrate Suho's public debut as an S-Rank Hunter. In the North Pole Arc, Adam played Solo Leveling: Ragnarok and felt his old memories stirring faintly. He accompanied President Brennon to consult Norma Selner about a North Pole anomaly, traveled through one of Suho's gates, witnessed Suho craft Holy Water of Life, and used the Disaster Management System to expose a hidden gate he suspected was the work of Russia's dictator Yuri Orloff.
