Lennart Niermann

A handsome young man, Lennart pairs blond hair with blue eyes that flare yellow whenever he calls on his power. His debut look was a long blue overcoat worn over a three-piece suit. Come the Canadian dungeon break, he had traded that for cobalt blue armor trimmed in light brown.

Despite ranking first in his homeland, Lennart carries his strength without arrogance, staying polite and patient enough to spend upwards of two hours waiting for nothing more than a word with Sung Jinwoo. His judgment is keen: the moment Jinwoo warned the world about the Monarchs, Lennart moved to place himself under his protection. He also proves deeply selfless, risking death to drag Thomas Andre clear of Rakan.

When the International Guild Conference brought him to America, Lennart spotted Jinwoo in the crowd almost immediately. He started toward him to say hello but checked himself on sensing the enormous force of shadow soldiers concealed inside Jinwoo's shadow, perception that neither Goto Ryuji nor Cha Hae-In could match. Once Jinwoo had publicly cautioned the world about the Monarchs, Lennart made the trip to Korea hoping to win that protection, only for the day to be spoiled because Thomas Andre had picked the very same date to settle a debt with Jinwoo.

Days afterward, when Rakan exploded into a rampage across the city, Lennart numbered among the first S-Ranks to reach the chaos. Thomas pushed him aside to take the Monarch on alone and held even until Rakan loosed his Spiritual Body Manifestation, at which point Lennart stepped in with his Charge skill. That power summons transparent teal gauntlets onto his arms and fires forceful energy blasts, enough to blind and rattle Rakan though not to truly harm him. Rakan turned to kill him, but Kaisel barreled in to knock the Monarch away, and Jinwoo arrived through Shadow Exchange to axe-kick Rakan into the earth, saving Lennart's life. Judging the fight unwinnable, he left the rest to Jinwoo and helped move the wounded Thomas to safety.

From a safe distance he observed the duel between Jinwoo and the Monarchs, rattled when Jinwoo seemed to die at Rakan's hands. He later pitched in against the colossal gate that had opened above Seoul during the Final Battle, as stunned as everyone else when its emerging "monsters" turned out to be nothing but new shadow soldiers for Jinwoo's army. After Antares set out to ravage Canada, Lennart answered the global call and joined the throng of S-Ranks rallying against his forces. His world ranking heavily implies he stands above every foreign hunter brought into the story before him, short of the National Level Hunters.
