Fangs name him their Monarch and beasts name him their King; Rakan is one of the nine Monarchs. Savage yet a coward at heart, he tears through Seoul and briefly appears to slay Sung Jinwoo before Jinwoo runs him down and finishes him.
Rakan looms as a massive, heavily muscled young man, tanned of skin, his yellow eyes glowing and flaring bright red the instant he taps his power. Sharp teeth and a wild mane of black hair round off the brutish look. Silver fur pelts hang from him over a ragged skirt cinched by a thick silver fur waistline, while gold-trimmed white armor plates his right shoulder and his groin.
Everything Rakan does carries aggression and arrogance, driven by a savage bloodlust toward whoever he counts as an enemy. He makes no secret of his scorn for humans, devouring one unlucky soul simply for bumping into him. The menace is hollow, though. Set against a stronger foe, he bolts, and he is a hypocrite to boot, calling Yogumunt and Tarnak cowards over their refusal to join the strike against Ashborn's vessel when he is every bit as gutless. Even so, he genuinely cares for his subordinates and can show respect under the right circumstances, thanking Suho for saving his heir Gray, holding no grudge over his being Jinwoo's son, and lending him his power in battle as repayment.
With the Jeju Island Gate cleared, Rakan catches traces of the Shadow Monarch on the island and goes to investigate, meeting Sillad on the way; the two decide it is time to reopen their war with the Rulers. The Tokyo Gate falls soon after, and Rakan, Querehsha, and Tarnak trap Christopher Reed in his home, where his Spiritual Body Manifestation fails to save him and the trio overpowers and kills him. When Sillad learns the Shadow Monarch has turned on them and gathers the others to strike Ashborn's vessel, Rakan signs on eagerly, sure Jinwoo has yet to reach his full strength. He then erupts across Seoul, butchering hundreds. Thomas Andre fights him hard but is crushed once Rakan stops holding back and unleashes his Spiritual Body Manifestation. Lennart Niermann blinds and staggers him with a Charge, and as Rakan retaliates, Jinwoo arrives and axe-kicks him into the ground, sparing Lennart. Joined by Sillad and Querehsha, Rakan attacks Jinwoo alongside them; Querehsha falls in the clash, yet Rakan still drives his claws through Jinwoo's chest while the latter duels Sillad, seemingly winning the war.
Jinwoo's black heart restarts, and the rattled Monarchs scramble to end him before the true Shadow Monarch descends. Il-Hwan cuts in, kicking Rakan into Sillad and hurling both through buildings, then overpowers the pair and stabs Rakan up through the jaw. Grasping that they have failed and nothing will stop Jinwoo's ascension, Rakan deserts Sillad and escapes through a portal. Hiding in a far-off forest, he realizes Jinwoo has tracked him and, unable to win or run, bows and pleads for mercy. Jinwoo sets a mocking condition, survive five strikes, and when Rakan grows to full size to die fighting, Jinwoo kills him in four, later carrying some of his teeth back to Sillad as proof.
Ruling over beasts as a Monarch among nine, Rakan stood monstrously strong, trading blows with Thomas Andre while restrained and crushing him once serious, his claws splitting Jinwoo's skin and chest with ease. His speed matched Jinwoo and outran Thomas's reflexes, and his durability shrugged off being punched through buildings as well as a kick that drove an axe-blow into his skull. A master across every fighting form, he earned the title of the Chaos World's finest hunter; he carved gates by swiping through space, hurled tons of rubble with telekinesis, and regrew a severed arm in seconds, though regeneration could not spare him a fatal blow. His Spiritual Body Manifestation turned him into a giant white wolf, and like Baek Yoonho he could transform only chosen parts at will. In death he left behind the wolf Gray and the Fang of Rakan, a weapon forged from a baby tooth holding a sliver of his soul, with his servant Brocky charged to guard the heir.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
