History

When Jinho asked to head the Yoojin Guild ahead of his older brother, Myunghan saw through the impressive raid figures and understood that Jinwoo had been the real force behind them. He granted the request anyway and instructed Jinho to bring Jinwoo aboard at any cost. The relationship soured badly when Jinho later announced he would abandon the family guild for Jinwoo's, and a furious Myunghan threw him out of the house.

Soon after, Myunghan was diagnosed with Eternal Slumber, an illness he linked to his exposure to his son, bringing his daughter Jinhee home to care for him. Told there was no cure, he searched relentlessly and learned that one woman, Jinwoo's mother Park Kyung-Hye, had recovered from it. As his condition worsened, he begged Jinwoo for the truth, but Jinwoo, distrustful, refused him, and Myunghan resigned himself to dying. He slipped into a coma days after the Tokyo gate broke. Unseen by anyone, Jinwoo had trailed Jinho home, realized the sickness was genuine, and used Stealth to slip into the hospital room and administer the Holy Water of Life, waking him to the astonishment of his doctors.

Having deduced who saved him, Myunghan later thanked Jinwoo and offered to repay the debt. Jinwoo asked only that Myunghan look after his mother and sister should he fall in battle, a promise readily given. In the timeline reshaped by the Cup of Reincarnation, where humanity never discovered magic beasts, Myunghan never fell ill at all. In the Ragnarok continuation, a flashback of Woo Jinchul rebuilding the Hunters Association notes that Myunghan still reigned as the business world's number one, with his son walking the same road.
