Summary

At dusk, wary of what summoning an instance dungeon might bring, Jinwoo slips into the woods and accepts the request to change his job. A vast purple gate crackling with lightning appears, and just before entering he remembers his neglected Daily Quest but decides it can wait. Deep within the dungeon, a silent knight stands waiting. Meanwhile, at a tense Yoojin family dinner, chairman Yoo Myunghan swirls his wine while a nervous Jinho sits across from him, and elder brother Yoo Jinsung arrives to exchange cold pleasantries.

Inside the dungeon, a notice bars Jinwoo from potions, Full Recovery, the Store, and any retreat until the quest is done, with no stat recovery on level up. An armored Knight charges, and Jinwoo's slices and a wasted Fatal Strike fail to pierce its plate, so he tears it apart with raw strength as he once did to Kasaka, gaining a level. More knights, then stealthed assassins, archers, and mages follow, forcing him to rely entirely on his body and to acknowledge he must raise his intelligence to handle mages while conserving skills against mounting fatigue. At the family dinner, Jinsung admits failing to recruit Cha Hae-In or Min Byung-Gyu and now looks abroad, then warns Jinho not to interfere with the guild, though Jinho privately clings to his secret advantage in Jinwoo.

Alongside Cha Hae-In and other elite hunters, Choi Jong-In boards a helicopter bound for a Jeju Island scouting run, determined to one day finish the failed raid. Jinwoo finishes the wave, loots a B-Rank chestplate, and equips a full set of invisible gear before pushing through a great door to find Igris the Bloodred standing before an empty throne.

Key Events

Inside a sealed forest dungeon, Jinwoo undertakes the job-change quest, with potions and Full Recovery both forbidden. He battles knights, assassins, archers, and magicians using only physical power, equips a full suit of gear for the first time, and confronts Knight Commander Igris the Bloodred. Though plainly outmatched, he wins. The Yoojin family dinner exposes the tensions and pressures surrounding the guild, and Choi Jong-In sets out to scout Jeju Island.

Intimidated by Igris's presence, Jinwoo endures crumbling pillars, brutal throws, and relentless punches, surviving only thanks to his equipped armor. He sheaths his useless dagger and Igris honorably sets down his own weapons. After landing a kick to the throat enrages the knight, Jinwoo is hurled onto the throne, but as Igris moves in for the kill he catches the descending blade, stabs his own weapon into the knight's eye, then drives it through his throat. Victory grants the S-Rank helmet, a rune stone for Ruler's Hand, and a teleportation stone. Yet the trial is not over, and just as exhaustion peaks, an enemy strikes the teleportation stone out of his hand as knights close in once more.

Notes

The eleventh episode adapts webtoon chapters 37 through 41 in the Job Change Arc, scripted by Noboru Kimura and directed by Takayuki Kikuchi for A-1 Pictures, airing in Japan on March 23rd, 2024. It keeps the LEveL opening and krage's request as the ending.

The adaptation makes Jinwoo plan to finish his Daily Quest afterward, sparing him the manhwa's mid-dungeon embarrassment at having forgotten it. Igris enters from the side rather than descending the throne stairs and attacks immediately in the manhwa, and Jinwoo uses Stealth only after defeating a few knights instead of at the quest's start. A blow from a knight carrying a hammer merely makes him drop and then recover the teleportation stone here, where the manhwa floors and surrounds him. The dinner scene featuring Jinho, Myunghan, and the previously unseen Jinsung is original to the anime, while Jinwoo's struggle to navigate by torchlight was cut.
