Episode 22: We Need a Hero

A friendly exhibition is set up between the S-rank hunters of Japan and those of Korea, and Jinwoo inserts himself into the contest. His clash with Goto Ryuji puts his raw power on full display. Even so, he turns down a spot on the Jeju Island Raid, choosing instead to stay close to his mother, who has only recently awakened.

His absence does not stop the operation. The Fourth Jeju Island Raid kicks off, and for a while it looks to be running smoothly. Ryuji, alongside Min Byung-Gu and the assembled hunters, keeps things on track. The apparent calm proves short-lived, however, as a sudden and unforeseen development throws the entire raid into doubt.

Jinwoo steps into the Japan and Korea S-rank exhibition and demonstrates his strength against Goto Ryuji, yet passes on the Jeju Island Raid so he can remain with his recovering mother. The Fourth Jeju Island Raid then begins without him. For a time it advances smoothly, with Ryuji, Min Byung-Gu, and their fellow hunters leading the charge, before an unexpected twist upends everything.
