Episode 23: It's Going to Get Even More Intense

For a time the Jeju Island battle tilts in the S-rank hunters' favor, but the momentum collapses when a humanoid ant, winged and sheathed in a black exoskeleton, rises to face them. Its sudden presence warns of a danger far beyond anything they had braced for.

The roles invert entirely. Those who had been doing the hunting are now the prey, cornered by a foe whose power has no precedent. Pushed to the edge of what they can withstand, the gathered fighters strain against the monster as the savage clash hurtles toward its end.

The Ant King, a winged monster wrapped in black exoskeleton, surfaces among the S-rank hunters on Jeju Island and swings the fight against them. Suddenly outmatched, the hunters who had been on the attack become the prey of this overwhelming enemy. Cha Hae-In manages to slay the Ant Queen, but Min Byung-Gyu is killed by the Ant King, heavy losses that drive the ferocious battle toward its peak.

This installment adapts Chapters 96 through 100 within the Jeju Island Arc.
