Over in America, Laura brings word to Dongsoo of the two who lived through the Insect Dungeon and confirms that his brother is dead. Convinced it was murder, he shatters his phone in fury and presses her on what punishment a killing abroad would bring. She lays out the options: extradition or a trial back home, possibly with a lighter term. Since the Scavenger Guild needs him first, any move waits until those duties end. Glaring at the files on Jinho and Jinwoo, Dongsoo crushes a notepad and swears to even the score.

Elsewhere, Jinwoo and Jinah stretch before a run in the park, with him needling her over how she eats. Mid-jog he wonders aloud what she would do holding 30 billion in cash; she fumbles before landing on college savings and their mother's medical bills. He then surges ahead, daring her to keep up. Finishing his Daily Quest unlocks a hidden one plus a key to The Demon's Castle, an S-Rank dungeon holding the Elixir of Life that could heal his mother.

Set on curing her, Jinwoo steps into the dungeon and runs straight into Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of Hell's Gate that prowls the wreckage of a fallen city.
