Stella Star

Written with the character for star but read Sutera, the Stella Star is Eden Academy's highest routine distinction, the reward side of a strict system whose punitive counterpart is the Tonitrus Bolt. Beyond academics, the school grants them for exceptional talent and for meaningful contributions to society, with long-term volunteer work and the saving of a life cited as qualifying deeds.

Each term's midterm and final exams feed directly into the system: the two highest scorers in every subject walk away with a star. A student who accumulates eight attains Imperial Scholar status through the school's honors program, unlocking exclusive privileges reserved for that rank. Award ceremonies take place in the Imperial Room, a solemn chamber normally restricted to Imperial Scholars themselves. Not every rumored path to a star is real; talk that the most valuable player of an interclass dodgeball match would receive one proved false.

Anya Forger and Damian Desmond each secure a Stella Star for their results after term finals. Following the exposure of the admissions corruption scandal at Eden, several students involved in bringing it to light are likewise decorated. The stars' ultimate purpose is visible in the school's alumni: figures such as Henry Henderson and Martha Marriott graduated as Imperial Scholars, the rank the eight-star threshold exists to confer.
