History

As an investigator Misaka climbed to become an Associate Special Class, and his harsh, methodical nature made him a natural choice for Cochlea's torturer. From there he rose steadily until he reached Warden, the prison's highest office. In the Root A anime he took part in the meeting weighing Aogiri Tree's actions across the wards, and when the group assaulted Cochlea he tried to crush and kill Tatara with his quinque, only to fail and be impaled instead.

As a former Associate Special Class, Misaka was a capable fighter against ghouls, and his quinque suited his role, appearing able to imprison its victims before swiftly killing them. Even so, a ghoul of Tatara's caliber left him outmatched. The weapon later became associated with the nickname Terry.
