History
Not long after the 11th Ward Battle, Yanagi and Toujou are reassigned to the 8th Ward as reinforcements, tasked with tightening security around the neighboring 23rd Ward following the recent break-in at Cochlea. As a first-class officer and area veteran, he is presumed a capable ghoul fighter, and he carries an unnamed bikaku quinque. He has worked with Koutarou Amon before, keeping things professional and showing concern when Amon overexerts himself adjusting to the district, while his partnership with the careless Toujou often ends in a comic smack to the younger man's head.
