:re Chapter 130

Summoned before bureau chief Kichimura Washuu, Iwao Kuroiwa learns his son has been detained for striking another investigator and is cautioned that his family's recent troubles could sink his career. That son, Takeomi Kuroiwa, receives Kuki Urie in his cell. Urie questions the wisdom of the outburst, which came after Mutsuki slandered Yoriko Kosaka, and Takeomi insists the report was a lie, certain Yoriko was never the scheming type. He frets instead that the chief's tougher stance on ghoul sympathizers will see her put to death.

Below in the 24th ward, Kaneki broods over the letter Mutsuki sent while Nishiki Nishio reports a fruitless supply run. Nishiki stresses how vital Kaneki has become to Goat, since the CCG's manhunt could drag them underground and the group would collapse without him. When Nishiki carelessly mentions a child Kaneki must consider, Kaneki is stunned and demands to know who he means, only to be told to drop it.

Kaneki bursts into Touka Kirishima's room and hovers over her, repeatedly asking whether she is well until she shoos him out, though not before he glimpses a circled date on her calendar. Touka silently apologizes while pressing her aching belly. Elsewhere, a starving Yoriko blames herself for never noticing her old friend's hidden pain. Shinsanpei Aura reviews Furuta's harsher policies, and Mutsuki reveals he tangled Yoriko into things through her bond with Touka, betting his former mentor would come to him. Touka slips into Kaneki's empty room, reaches under his pillow, and pulls out the CCG order sentencing Yoriko to death, letting it fall to the floor.

Titled 意味なし (Imi nashi), or Meaningless, this is the one hundred thirtieth chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re and opens the twelfth volume. It debuted in issue 2017-31 on June 29, 2017. The installment threads together the Yoriko crisis, Kaneki's dawning awareness of Touka's pregnancy, and the widening reach of Kichimura's anti-ghoul crackdown.
