Summary

Having gulped down Urie and pinned Iwao Kuroiwa, Roma revels in her win and asks Kichimura Washuu what she may eat. He offers Kuroiwa as a special-class dish. Before she can, Urie frames out and tears free from inside her kakuja, pulling Kuroiwa to safety and checking his injuries while fighting to master himself. Roma and Shikorae fall on him together, slamming him into a wall and raining down strikes, but every blow glances off a kagune shield he has just formed.

Urie turns the tide, wielding blade and shield to batter the pair, launching Shikorae through a window and taking Roma's head. He then savages her skull to be certain she is finished for good. Kneeling beside Kuroiwa, he tends the veteran's wounds as the older man weeps, apologizing for failing to protect Urie's father from the one-eyed Owl and blaming himself for the death.
