Plan t is the forty-fifth chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re. The CCG greenlights an operation against the sprawling Tsukiyama business empire, Akira reveals why she was made Haise's mentor, and Mirumo drugs his own son to buy him time.
Summary
Koori Ui works through the file on the Tsukiyama Group, a conglomerate spread across many industries with more than twenty subsidiaries under it. Worried about the fallout an investigation could cause, he lays the matter before the bureau's vice-presidents and notes the possibility that the family is concealing its president, a lead to chase later. Tsuneyoshi Washuu presses him to run an Rc screening of the parent firm and its affiliates, then assigns Ui to carry out the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation.
Inside The Chateau, Haise Sasaki maps out a strategy for the Quinx Squad. When the briefing ends, he stops by Shirazu to build up his confidence with a quinque, and Shirazu instead asks to be taught how to wield his own kagune. Haise then goes looking for records on Amon. Bitterly, Akira Mado tells him only that Amon was a colleague lost during the Owl Suppression Operation and refuses to say more, which makes Haise shout at her and demand to know why she keeps him in the dark.
Akira thinks back to the profile drawn up on Haise, which judged him deeply empathetic and quick to learn yet short on assertiveness, withdrawn to the point of being anti-social, and hungry for a mother figure. She had been named his mentor precisely to satisfy that need, and she quiets his outburst by pulling him into an embrace. Meanwhile, Mirumo Tsukiyama brings his troubled son coffee laced with a sedative, and Matsumae carries Shuu off just before the CCG closes in. Eto, elsewhere, goes on tormenting Kanae while insisting that he will be loved.
