Summary

Furuta stops by Eto's cell, boasts about Shunji Shiono's attempts to censor King Bileygr, and hands her a pate rendered from Shiono himself. On his way out he jeers at her over how her eavesdropping scheme has turned out. In the camera room, Shinme Haisaki informs him that the isolation cells between levels zero and one have been unlocked, and the footage points to Haise Sasaki as the one responsible.

Ayato Kirishima, Kazuichi Banjou, and the Gas Masks force their way into Cochlea while CCG guards ready an ambush. Elsewhere in the building Haise combs the organization's database to locate Hinami Fueguchi's room. Arima opens fire on Ayato with Narukami, but Touka seizes her brother and hauls him clear of the blast just in time.

Haise's thoughts drift back to his encounter with Hideyoshi Nagachika at V14, where Hide seemingly offered himself up to be eaten so that Kaneki could live, warned him about Arima, and urged him to feed. Steeled by the memory, Haise steps into Hinami's cell, telling her he wants to gamble his life for someone the way Hide once did for him. He apologizes for taking so long and vows to get her out.
