Atli
CharacterAtli once rode with Askeladd's mercenary company and is the brother of Torgrim. Among the few left alive when the band tore itself apart, he vanishes for years, then turns up again in the Baltic war as a captive squeezed for what he knows.
Appearance
When the anime first shows him, Atli has cropped light-blond hair, green eyes, and a mustache, wearing a vertically striped tan tunic above gray trousers and boots of dark brown. Once the time skip passes, he lets his hair grow out and binds it back, adding a teal getup and a scarf of bear pelt.
Personality
As with the others in Askeladd's company, Atli has no love for Christians. Beyond that, he treats the men he fights alongside cordially, and reserves his greatest warmth for his brother.

History
Atli belongs to Askeladd's band and lives through the clash with Thorkell, one of the few not killed when the captain's followers turned against one another. The other survivors are Thorfinn, Bjorn, Askeladd, and Atli's own brother Torgrim. Askeladd afterward frees the two siblings from his service, provided Atli will settle somewhere far from war and stay gone for good.
Later, in the Baltic Sea War, Vagn's men abduct and interrogate him, prying loose word that Floki had bankrolled Askeladd's killing of Thors, and probably a description of Thorfinn to hunt him down.
