Sigurd

Sigurd resembles a younger version of his father so closely that the likeness is striking, and he plays it up by copying Halfdan's grooming. He wears his dark hair long and pushed back from his face, rounding out the look with a slim mustache and a goatee. A trim, average-sized man in his early twenties, he cuts the figure of an aspiring Norse fighter.

The source keeps his temperament lightly drawn, though his string of nicknames, Sig, Siggy, and Spunky, points to a spirited, restless young man. He carries himself as someone set on being taken seriously as a warrior among older, harder men.

Sigurd is the son of Halfdan and Asrid. He is first joined to Gudrid in a marriage that goes unconsummated and ends in divorce, a match that sets him against Thorfinn's circle. He later takes Hallgerd as his wife and becomes father to a son, Njall. Sigurd figures through the War in the Baltic chapters of the Eastern Expedition Arc, and by the events of Chapter 197 he has reached his mid-twenties, glimpsed afterward with his own child and a new look.
