Kamehameha Propulsion

The Pirate Cave is falling apart, and Goku is racing through the crumbling labyrinth trying to find his friends. Bulma grows increasingly convinced that Goku is dead and wants to leave, but Krillin insists on waiting. Just as the cave gives its final shudder, Goku bursts through and leaps into the pirate submarine.

The escape is anything but smooth. Bulma navigates through falling boulders until one massive rock seals the main exit. Goku spots a second opening and they race toward it, only for the submarine to run out of power at the worst possible moment. With no other option, Goku tells everyone to take a deep breath and fires a Kamehameha wave behind the submarine, propelling it through the water, out of the cave, and clear of the ocean.

Back at General Blue's island base, the group searches for food and transport. Goku releases the mouse that saved him earlier, calls the Flying Nimbus, and heads for Kame House while Bulma and Krillin follow in a Jet-copter. Bulma managed to grab a fist-sized diamond from the cave, which she offers to Master Roshi as compensation for his destroyed submarine, though Launch promptly steals it and flies away.

A Diamond Stolen, A General Reborn

Goku's Reverse Kamehameha is a brilliantly inventive use of his signature technique. Rather than using it as an attack, he turns it into a jet engine, proving his ability to think creatively under extreme pressure. The moment where everyone braces for impact as the submarine rockets through the collapsing tunnel is pure adrenaline.

Blue Rises from the Wreckage

General Blue's survival is a testament to his resilience. After clawing his way out of the ocean, he returns to his base, executes a cowardly guard for hiding during Goku's visit, and immediately takes a Jet-copter to pursue the Dragon Ball gang. His arrival at Kame House, hidden just out of sight with nothing but a rope, sets up a dangerous confrontation at a place the heroes consider safe.

From the Deep to Kame House

The Reverse Kamehameha marks one of the earliest creative applications of Goku's energy attacks, establishing a pattern of unconventional ki usage that will become a hallmark of the series. The technique demonstrates that the Kamehameha is not limited to combat situations.

General Blue's pursuit to Kame House brings the Red Ribbon Army threat directly to Master Roshi's doorstep for the first time, raising the stakes significantly. His execution of the guard echoes Darth Vader's "apology accepted" scene from The Empire Strikes Back.
