Levy composed the musical score for Saban's 1996-1998 Ocean Group dub of Dragon Ball Z, though he was not involved with the later 2000-2002 Ocean/Westwood dub despite common misconceptions. Working alongside Ron Wasserman and others, his compositions defined an era of Dragon Ball Z localization for North American audiences. His score also appeared in the Hindi-language Indian dub of the first 53 episodes, extending his influence across international markets.
Born in 1947 in Mandatory Palestine (now Israel), Levy co-founded Saban Entertainment with Haim Saban, which created iconic 1990s productions including Power Rangers, Masked Rider, VR Troopers, and Big Bad Beetleborgs. He holds the world record for composing theme songs for over 130 television shows and has earned 14 gold and platinum certifications. His career spans children's television classics like Inspector Gadget and He-Man, establishing him as one of the most prolific and influential composers in television history.
