Toka Yada

Yada stands at a fairly typical height for her age, her brown hair gathered into a ponytail with a red elastic and a fringe swept to the right side. During the island summer she briefly swaps the tie for a blue one. Pale purple eyes complete the look. She is best known among the girls of Class 3-E for having the fullest figure of them all, a trait she credits to her grandmother, and one still developing given her age. On the island she pairs a two-tone white and yellow shirt with purple shorts.

Often cast as the older-sister figure of the class, Yada carries herself with a calm, grown-up composure that even Kaede Kayano openly admires. She counts among the keenest pupils of Irina Jelavić, soaking up lessons in infiltration and charm. Her aversion to bloodshed is deep, and it is precisely that dislike of fighting that pushes her to master talking her way out of conflict instead. She would rather win a situation with words than force, honing reception and bargaining skills she believes will serve as real weapons once school is behind her.

Her drop into Class 3-E came after she skipped a test to care for a seriously ill younger brother, a genuine circumstance she would later repurpose as a jailbreak excuse during the Cops and Robbers game. Her spotlight moment arrives in the girls' arc, when a group of men try to hit on her friends and she scatters them by posing as a mafia princess, brandishing a borrowed yakuza emblem lent by Irina. She explains afterward that she chases negotiation and hospitality skills as society's ultimate tools, drawing praise for her maturity while refusing to lean on seduction to get her way.

Trained in assassination, marksmanship, and knifework alongside her peers, Yada shines most in bargaining and social maneuvering; the class regularly leans on her whenever a task calls for a smooth talker. She is also a capable acrobat thanks to Karasuma's regimen, scaling steep terrain and leaping between rooftops with ease. After graduating from high school and Midoriyama Gakuin University, where she was entered into a beauty pageant without consent and reached the finals, she becomes an insurance broker. Years on, she gathers old friends to revisit the mountain classroom.
