During the Royal Government arc, Dimo Reeves brings two of his employees, Jim among them, to turn Historia Reiss and Eren Yeager over to the Military Police Brigade. The delivery proves a death sentence for the merchants: once the officers arrive to collect the pair, they gun down Reeves and both of his men before carrying the captives off, leaving no witnesses behind.
