Locus

In human form Locus is a towering, black-haired knight with pale gray eyes, roughly two meters tall and built like the living legend he is said to be. Loosing his apostle form fuses his body with his warhorse into a centaur-shaped frame of silvery, metallic gleam bristling with hooked spurs; his shield merges into his left arm while his lance draws out and flattens into a broad, blade-like edge, his bulk ballooning to some three meters and better than five hundred kilograms.

Locus is composure itself, measured and clear-eyed alike in the council chamber and the carnage of war, owning a reason, wisdom, and restraint rarely seen in an apostle. A powerful sense of honor moves him to condemn the Midland nobles who abandoned their duty as guardians during the Kushan invasion. In life he was hailed as the Moonlight Knight, an unbeaten victor of innumerable duels who submitted to no lord and whose deeds passed into bedtime stories told to warriors' sons.

Everything changed once he swore himself to Griffith. From the moment of that pledge he has trusted, without a shred of doubt, that his leader's every deed works toward the world's betterment, and he does battle in Griffith's name against any who would defy him. Uniquely among the apostles he attends Griffith at formal and lofty occasions and acts as his direct deputy in matters of politics, a trust he repays by denouncing cowardice and standing at the White Falcon's side through war and rule alike.

Locus does battle with a massive lance he handles with unmatched skill. Even in his ordinary shape he can pour enough force into a single thrust to drop a handful of foes at once, and once released the weapon grows thicker and keener still, his mastery turning deadlier as he cuts down roughly ten daka in a lone sweep. Fusing with his warhorse lends him the beast's speed and nimbleness while leaving both hands free to fight, and the cool, calculating way he commands his troops has no equal among his apostle peers.

Led by an oracle to seek the Falcon of Light, he won his place at Griffith's side by felling Kushan soldiers with one lance-stroke, then knelt in fealty alongside Zodd, Grunbeld, and Rakshas. He drove his lancers in the assault on Wyndham and faced Emperor Ganishka in person, pulling his unit back only after Charlotte had been freed, and he rode at the head of the charge defending Vritannis. Once Falconia had risen, he leads Rickert to the killing pits of Pandemonium, briefs the city's council on the Midland Army's fresh reclamation of lost land, and gathers with Grunbeld, Irvine, and Zodd to welcome Griffith home.
