In manga episode 304 of Berserk, the Skull Knight's blade and Ganishka's twice-reborn body combine to tear open a passage into the deepest reaches of the Astral World. Femto turns the wound in space to his own ends, and a blinding light bursts from the emperor's ruined form.
The Skull Knight lands a single cut across Femto's back before Zodd lunges to defend the God Hand member, forcing the knight to break off his strike. Rather than let the rift close, Femto seizes the tear his enemy's Sword of Beherits left in space and draws it out like a length of rope. He admits the ambush was no surprise, since the Skull Knight always surfaces at temporal junction points to test the God Hand.
Femto presses the captured fissure against Ganishka's face, and the apostle's colossal body cleaves apart. Between the emperor's man-made rebirth and the beherit sword's power, a doorway yawns open into the lowest layers of the Astral World. The gap swells until Ganishka's enormous skull is scooped hollow, and far below his pseudo-apostle spawn, still locked in combat with the Band of the Falcon, begin to rupture from the head down.
A vast detonation follows. White light pours from the astral cavity crowning Ganishka's towering shape, and every witness on the field stops to stare as the radiance rolls outward and washes over the land.
Zodd intervenes to shield Femto from the Skull Knight. Femto captures the spatial rift left by the Sword of Beherits and forces it onto Ganishka, splitting the emperor open. The union of Ganishka's reincarnated flesh and the beherit sword tears a portal into the deepest Astral World, unleashing a flood of white light across everything nearby.
The twenty-two page chapter continues the Falconia Chapter within the Millennium Falcon Arc and debuted in Young Animal issue 11. A wide cast watches the eruption, among them Sonia, Mule, Charlotte, Silat and the Band of the Falcon's commanders. The moment sets up the world-altering transformation that follows.
