Jirōbō Ikkanzaka

Jirōbō is a tall, heavyset man with a broad nose, large lips, and small round eyes of pale blue, framed by short black hair with curled sideburns. Over the standard Shinigami uniform he wears beaded bronze bracelets on each wrist and a large-beaded bronze necklace with a red tassel, and he lashes his sword's scabbard to his waist with a wide white sash tied in a bow at the front.

Fixated on making enemies rue crossing him, Jirōbō even counts to ten before a fight so his targets can properly regret the encounter. He is enormously proud of his skill and his blade's ranged power, boasting without end and mocking opponents for their errors. Beneath the bluster, though, he is a dishonorable coward: as Uryū lays bare, he singled out Orihime Inoue as the weaker fighter, striking at her back and moving to take her hostage the moment he realized Uryū far outclassed him. When his Shikai is destroyed and his hand pierced, his composure dissolves into shrieking terror.

Before Uryū undid him, Jirōbō carried the elevated Reiryoku of a seated officer, could steal up on Orihime unseen despite his bulk, and swung with enough force to crater the ground and cleave through a roof. His Zanpakutō, Tsunzakigarasu, releases at the command to flap away, its blade splitting into dozens of hole-centered flying blades that he steers by thought, said to have killed everyone who ever glimpsed them until Uryū. Should those blades be broken, he can conjure fresh ones by sheathing and drawing the sword again, but they are brittle enough for Heilig Pfeil to shatter, and once Uryū destroyed the hilt and then his Saketsu and Hakusui, Jirōbō lost that recreation trick and his Shinigami powers altogether.
