Mizuho Asano

Mizuho keeps her brown hair pulled back into a ponytail fixed with a purple clasp, letting long bangs spill down either side of her face. Her eyebrows sit somewhat heavy over brown eyes. School hours find her in the standard Karakura High uniform, while at home she favors a white top, black shorts, and pink stockings.

A very short fuse defines her; trivial things set her off, whether her brother taking too long to fetch a drink or someone gaming in her room. Her signature quirk is a fierce attraction to men with shaved scalps, strong enough that she welcomes the total stranger Ikkaku Madarame into her home purely for his bald head. Her sense of style is odd to match, and she once dressed Ikkaku in a garish polka-dot shirt that Yumichika Ayasegawa found unbelievable.

During the Arrancar arc, after dispatching Keigo for a drink, she meets the collapsed Ikkaku he brings home and, instantly smitten, insists he and Yumichika stay while he recovers. She later drafts Ikkaku to whip her school's badly beaten kendo club into shape against a rival team, revealing that its captain is the ex-boyfriend who once jilted her, and she cackles with glee when Ikkaku thrashes them. On a return visit she tries to domesticate him with home-cooked meals and constant attention, only to recoil when he turns up wearing a wig; her interest vanishes the moment his head is covered, and she coldly sends the two Shinigami off. Her spiritual sensitivity is just strong enough to make out a Hollow as a blur when one attacks her on the street, and after Ikkaku saves her she tells him he is welcome back anytime, so long as he loses the wig.
