History
He accompanied Byakuya Kuchiki when the captain came to offer Rukia a place in the family; when Renji Abarai's arrival broke up the meeting, Nobutsune remarked that it was no setting for such talk and withdrew, saying they would await her decision. He later relayed, on Byakuya's instruction, that she had been taken into the clan because she so resembled the late Hisana Kuchiki.
His full name surfaced only in the Bleach novels, and he once drew a single vote in a popularity poll simply as Byakuya's attendant.
