The Demi-Hollow

Before the change, the Jibakurei resembled a youthful man whose short, spiked dark hair sat above pronounced sideburns, clad in a long-sleeved pink shirt. Once Don Kanonji forced open the hole in its chest, it warped into a mid-sized, upright green Hollow with a frog-faced mask sprouting two long, pigtail-like extensions and yellow eyes. Long, thin arms end in large human hands, its forearms bared like bone joined by spherical joints, while thick haunches taper into ordinary feet and a layered purple carapace rises behind its head, the Hollow hole set at the center of its chest.

In life the spirit fixated on wealth and luxury, coveting fancy cars, costly drink, and anything pink, and expecting to grow rich once he inherited his father's hospital. When the property passed instead to his younger brother, his refusal to forgive the slight bound him to the building, where he aggressively drives off any human who steps onto the grounds without paying. As a full Hollow it shows only crude, primitive intelligence, its speech reduced to a bare hunger for souls.

Born the heir to a rich hospital proprietor, the spirit died bitter after his coveted inheritance went to his brother, chaining his soul to the abandoned building. When the medium Don Kanonji brought his ghost-hunting show to Karakura Town, the spirit raged at the trespassing crew, and Kanonji's attempt to purify it with his Super Spirits Stick instead snapped the chains binding it and set off its transformation. The newborn Demi-Hollow craved souls and hunted Ichigo Kurosaki and Kanonji through the hospital, cementing Ichigo's palms to his sword blade with a spray of Sticker Phlegm, an adhesive that instantly bonds surfaces. Kanonji freed the blade with his Kanonball technique, letting Ichigo at last slash through the mask, crumbling the Demi-Hollow back into the Jibakurei, which then faded away.
