Rangiku dances! Slice the invisible enemy!

Bounding across Karakura's rooftops, Rangiku spots Sawatari confronting Sado, Ururu, and Noba in a park and drops in to greet them warmly. The old Bount proves his nature by sending his Doll, Baura, rippling beneath the ground before it surfaces as a whale-like rock creature that swims freely through concrete. When Rangiku stabs at its shadow her blade sticks fast, and Baura nearly devours her until Noba teleports her clear.

Sawatari reveals that Baura opens alternate dimensional spaces and warns that his Doll can dissolve an entire body, not merely a Soul. After Rangiku secures a spatial freeze and Soul protection from the Research Institute, the group attacks in earnest, only to find that Baura simply inhales energy blasts and dives to safety. Baura swallows Ururu whole, holding her inside its stomach dimension, and Rangiku baits Sawatari onto a rooftop before dropping him through a billboard.

Regrouping in a cramped alley, Noba proposes drawing Baura into his own dimensional space to snuff out its energy and free Ururu. Rangiku insists on serving as the decoy, luring Baura into swallowing her while she props its jaws open with her sword and sheath. Sado hurls the creature toward Noba's massive Wormhole, but Baura resists, and a strained Noba is forced to release it, ending up injured. Sawatari mocks the exhausted group and invites them to see the fight through.

Rangiku joins Sado, Ururu, and Noba against Sawatari and his Doll Baura. She obtains a spatial freeze and Soul protection so the team can fight freely, and learns that Renji was injured elsewhere without such protection. Ururu is swallowed into Baura's stomach dimension, and Noba's plan to seal Baura in a Wormhole fails when the Doll overpowers him, leaving the battle unresolved.

This anime-only entry belongs to the Bount storyline. Flashbacks recall Sado's history, including the coin from his grandfather Oscar and his defeats in Soul Society. A closing Illustrated Picture Book segment has an envious Yasochika Iemura relay Hanatarō's cheerful report about a part-time job in the Human World. The episode aired in Japan on June 20, 2006, with the opening Tonight, Tonight, Tonight and the ending Hanabi.
